The Lebanese President earns about $150,000 per year as a net salary. That’s without taking into account any extra income or privileges he may have.

To put things into perspective, the yearly Lebanese revenue per capita is 9,190$. And in Russia, where the revenue per capita is slightly higher than in Lebanon ($12,700), the president earns around $96,000 per year.

The President of the Republic actually earns less than Riad Salameh, Governor of the Central Bank, who receives a yearly salary of… $500,000.

For the record, this information dates back to 2012: it doesn’t figure on the website of the Lebanese Presidency or any government website, which is contrary to the right of citizens to have access to public information.
