L&F“My mum is Lebanese & my dad is French. When they fell in love, she quit everything to follow him in Normandy, France. She started her own business one year after I was born because she wanted to be able to work AND take care of my brother and me. She was helped by the fact that the city we used to live in offered after school activities such as dancing and acting, that made me the woman I am today.
When I visited Beirut for the holidays, it saddened me to see my cousins wasting their time looking at screens after school hours, because they had nothing else to do. Worse, my aunt had to quit her job to take care of them, and her sacrifice is not rewarded as there is nothing for them to do!
That’s why I created MyaftersCool, a platform which connects parents with structures which offer cultural or sports activities, but don’t have the means to do marketing. With MyasftersCool, I want to offer women such as my mum, my aunt, and myself, the possibility to have a career AND see their kids grow happy.”
