Because we strongly believe that to stay sane, we need to move our bodies, especially while being locked down, we started a list of stuff you can do to stay active during the day.
We tried to highlight the Lebanese initiatives, please share yours with us, and we will update this list!
We also shared with you our own routines, maybe they can help!

Pilates: This Lebanese pilates teacher shared 10 basic mat moves to do on a daily basis, at the time of your choice, to stay fit.

Yoga : many teachers are doing free live sessions on Insta, check their schedule! here and here  and here and here

Dance and fitness: here  and here , with Jane Fonda (trust us, it’s fun!)

If you feel like trying something new, (well at least it was new to us), why not try swedish fit? It’s a mix of cardio,  muscle building and stretching.

If you’re fond of apps, and can pay online (that’s a big IF!) we heard that Nike Training Club app has pretty decent workouts, as does My fitness Pal.

If you like fitness routines designed by stars, Chris Hemworth is offering six weeks of his  health and fitness program @Centrfit for free

MJ’s routine:
I like to start my day with the routine of my pilates teacher, as it allows me to stay straight when I stay seated all day long in front of my computer.

And with a friend of mine, who lives in the Philippines, we committed to train together at least 4 times a week, and that helps a lot! We do a Facetime video call and improvise routines that we learned through our various fitness classes. Apart from keeping us fit, it also provides us with a good opportunity to catch up with each other and to laugh together! And that’s priceless.

Soso’s routine:
I try to stick to 2 sports sessions per day (except on week-ends!).
The first session is a “cardio” one (kind of ) : I walk around my parents’ house in Aix en Provence, where I am currently locked down (yes, I’m lucky :))

After that I go back to work, and around 5:00 pm, when I feeI like I need to move again, I do yoga  , courtesy of my cousin,  or I try new things, such as dancing, zumba, etc.
BTW, if anyone knows about online rock & roll classes, let me know! I’m interested.
